I dreamt that I was coming down the stairs accompanied by my dog that had died 11 years ago. My mum passed 7 years ago and as I came down the stairs she shouted to me to put the dog in the room with her as it was too cold to put her outside and that she had the fire on and it was therefore warm. I explained the need for the dog needing to go out first, I opened the back door to see dead rats placed around the garden edges.
